Tech Cocktail hosted its third Startup Mixology Conference on Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Washington, D.C. Enjoy this video with some of the speakers who came to DC for this event.
This conference, along with the previous conference last October in Chicago, had an amazing speaker line-up and received great feedback – some referred to it as “TED for Startups.” Our format provides a small group of attendees with a powerful day of learning from experienced entrepreneurs. Participants hear some of the best in the industry talk about the little things that can make all the difference, share their successes and more importantly, their failures, and provide their own case studies from you to learn from and be inspired by.
The DC event was hosted at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre. The Woolly Mammoth theater is a performing arts theater in Washington, DC. They put on a number of original performances a year. With its state-of-the-art sound and video systems, full kitchen, bar and spectacular performance hall stage, Woolly Mammoth is perfect for a comfortable and intimate setting for us to get down to business.
Woolly Mammoth is just a few blocks from two Metro stops, the Yellow or Green line stop at Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter as well as the Red, Yellow, or Green lines stop at Gallery Place-Chinatown. There is also public garage parking directly across the street from the theatre for only $20 for the day. There are also a number of parking meters if you like to run back and forth to your vehicle all day feeding the meter. Read additional directions and details.
After the full day conference was our classic Tech Cocktail mixer event, showcasing some of the latest local tech and startup innovations. This event followed our traditional startup mixer format, offering several local startups complimentary exhibit space to showoff in an expo-style to the crowd of over 500 attendees.
